Going Private

Colorado Trip
Last week David, Jose and the kids and I got to go to Denver to visit Jazmin and Landin, who are there for the summer. We stayed at Landin's family's house and had such a good time! Landin's family is wonderful and did so much to make us feel so welcome.
Our first night there we went to the lake, but it was raining by the time we got on the boat. We enjoyed a fast ride on the water and then took off before the storm got too bad. We enjoyed s'mores and some relaxation in the hot tub back at the Smith's home instead, which was still fun. The next day we went out for breakfast, and then Jazmin introduced me to a children's consignment store nearby and I got hooked! I went four different times over the next few days and found some great stuff each time. :) (Baby girl clothes are just so fun to shop for, especially when they're cheap!!) While I shopped, the guys played golf and the kids got to go w/ Jazmin to the daycare where she works at a local gym, so we all had a good time. Landin's mom made us a yummy dinner that night and we just had fun hanging out. Friday morning we hit the outlets (something we seem to do wherever we go on vacation) and then the community swimming pool.
That night was probably the most fun because we got to go to a Colorado Rockies game! David and I had both been to major league baseball games years ago, but it had been so long it seemed like a first for me. We had lots of fun and thankfully, the Rockies won! The boys loved it. By the end of the game Landin had explained the game enough to Bryan that he really got into it. Matt, I think, just liked all the snacks. :) On the way home, though, he said at least 3 different times, "Fun baseball game. I like it!" It was definitely something they boys won't forget for a long time. And I guess now we consider ourselves Rockies fans! (As long as they're not playing the Yankees...)
Saturday morning was special because I got to go to a baby shower for Jazmin! She's due in a couple months with her first (a little girl, Maily) and it was SO fun to see all the fun things she got. We spent much of the rest of the day oohing and ahhing over everything. :) We did enjoy lunch at a fish and chips place near downtown Denver, and then everyone but Ari and I went back to the lake for an evening of wakeboarding and tubing. It was windy and I decided that I didn't want Ari bouncing around so much on the boat. She and I shopped instead! Sunday morning we went to church with the Smiths, and then made the trip back home.
I wish I had more pictures, but either we were so busy that I didn't think about it, or I was taking care of Ariana while the others were playing. :) Still, we loved Colorado and Landin's family and really had a wonderful time!

So "Berry" Sweet!
This last weekend I went to my cousin's wedding in Idaho and finally had a good opportunity to dress Ari in her strawberry outfit - hat and all. :) I love it! After a while we took off the hat, but she still took some really cute pics.

Bryan was trying to write his name on his forehead so people could look at him and know his name. :) Oh, these boys... you just gotta love 'em!
